Officer Elections

Descriptions and Nomination/Voting Information
Nominations are currently being taken for the four officer positions listed below. You may nominate yourself or someone else (but please check with them first). Nomination deadline is Sunday June 10, elections take place that week, and results are announced on Wednesday June 20. Send nominations to yaack@hotmail.com or speak to a current officer.

All YAACK Officers generally share many of the responsibilities listed below depending on time factors, needs, and other personal commitments. In general, however, the breakdown of responsibilities should accurately reflect the respective position listed. All officers are elected at the end of the year (May/June) and work with previous officers to plan the next year during the summer months. YAACK activities generally start in September, though summer events can always be planned if desired.

YAACK Chair:
Chair all YAACK activities
Support the work of all other officers
Hold monthly YAACK officer meetings
Maintain the YAACK budget
Handle official correspondence (thank you notes, articles for King’s Connection, etc.)
Liaison to the Parish Life Committee through attendance at monthly meetings and writing a monthly report for those meetings.

Membership Chair:
Manage YAACK email account (including adding new members to email list)
Create and send weekly email update about upcoming YAACK meetings
Coordinate weekly bulletin announcement about upcoming activities
Main contact for new YAACK members of those interested in joining

Activities Chair:
Plan monthly spiritual events and activities in consultation with other officers and feedback from membership
Coordinate YAACK service projects within the community
Plan monthly group dinners and other social events
Organize a retreat committee and oversee the organization and planning of the annual fall retreat

Member-at-Large:
Assist Activities Chair in carrying out duties and responsibilities
Assist other YAACK officers in duties and responsibilities as needed
Arrange for occasional guest speakers
Serve on committees as needed

The Web/Blog-master position is not an elected position.
